Welcome to the Bronze! Beware of vampires.
This page features my growing physical music collection which includes vinyl, CD, and cassette. In the age of streaming we have lost the ritual of listening to a full album from start to finish, holding a piece of art in our hands, and intentionally creating mixtapes. Music is art. Music is revolution. (DISCLAIMER: I do not own the rights to any media displayed. For fan and archival purposes only.)

As someone whose music tastes are perpetually stuck in the 60's-early 2000's, it's SO RARE for me to stumble on a new artist that I instantly want to make my entire personality. Sam Franco's musical alter ego, Bara Hari is so THAT GIRL for me. Bara Hari’s name merges Theda Bara’s dark glamour with Mata Hari’s legendary mystique. I first stumbled upon a snippet of her song "Agoraphobic" on her TikTok page. From there I was hooked. I discovered her multi-talents in how she does all the costuming, set design, production, etc for her music videos. You would never know she has barely any budget to work with because her DIY artistry is absolute MAGIC. Her voice is like a siren call but not to the men, it's for us women who are so exhausted by patriarchy and are reclaiming our power. Her voice and her vision is SO NEEDED. So I'm just here screaming from the rooftops telling everyone to be as excited about her art as I am. I'm ready to get the Bara Hari fan club going haha!

"It sounds like bedroom culture. It sounds like something a girl made in her bedroom. A girl’s bedroom sometimes can be this space of realcreativity. The problem is that these bedrooms are all cut off from each other. So, how do you take that bedroom that you’re cut off from all the other girls who are secretly in their bedroom writing secret things or making secret songs? I wanted the “Julie Ruin” record to sound like a girl from her bedroom made this record but then didn’t just throw it away, or it wasn’t just in her diary. But she took it out and shared it with people."
